Are you a talented and commercially minded designer with a passion for sleep and loungewear? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful, well-established supplier of ladieswear to major high street retailers and take real ownership of a thriving division. Reporting into the Design Director, you will be responsible for driving the creative and commercial direction of the sleep and loungewear category. You will develop trend-led ranges for key accounts, working directly with buyers to deliver product that is both on-trend and commercially strong.

Main Responsibilities and Duties will include:

  • Developing trend direction, mood boards, colour stories and concept designs
  • Fabric sourcing and development
  • Producing clear, accurate technical packs and line drawings
  • Overseeing samples through to production
  • Conducting trend research and presenting direction to board level
  • Building strong relationships with buyers and internal sales teams
  • Liaising with overseas factories

Person Specification:

  • Proven design experience in women's jersey sleepwear and/or loungewear, from either a supplier or retailer background
  • A strong commercial instinct with a feminine, trend-aware design eye
  • Experience working with Bangladesh and Cambodia production and factory liaison
  • The ability to produce detailed and accurate technical packs
  • Solid knowledge of the UK retail market and its key players
  • Confident presentation skills with the gravitas to present at a senior level
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines and deliver consistently
  • Ambitious, determined and driven with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
