We are partnering with a successful beauty, fragrance and homeware supplier who create innovative and trend-led product ranges for major retailers. They are looking for a Junior Buyer / Product Developer to join their collaborative and fast-paced team, supporting across Buying, Product Development and Range Building. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and product passionate individual who thrives in a creative environment and enjoys working closely with both suppliers and internal teams to bring products to market. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in their beautiful office space.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development of commercially strong beauty, fragrance and homeware ranges for key retail customers.
  • Working closely with teams to identify trends, gaps and new product opportunities.
  • Managing the product development process from initial concept through to launch.
  • Supporting range building activities, ensuring collections are balanced, trend relevant and aligned to customer requirements.
  • A creative eye for delivering presentation decks either in CANVA, Powerpoint and the ability to creatively use AI.
  • Liaising with suppliers on product sourcing, costings, sampling, and critical path management.
  • Supporting negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best commercial and quality outcomes.
  • Monitoring competitor activity, market trends and customer performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Managing approvals across packaging, components, fragrance submissions and product samples.
  • Working cross functionally with Technical, Packaging and Sales teams to ensure products are delivered on time and to the required standards.
  • As part of a small hands-on team some basic admin like sample management / courier management etc will be required.

Person specification:

  • Previous experience within Buying or Product Development across beauty, fragrance or homeware.
  • Experience working across own-buy or private label is required.
  • A strong product eye and commercially aware with the ability to balance creativity and customer requirements.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive, energetic and team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
