My client is looking for a strong multiproduct soft woven designer to work across several large accounts with supermarkets and high-volume retailers. If you have a truly commercial eye for fashion and a background working with suppliers or retailers, and are confident to attend meetings with buyers alongside the account manager, this role could be perfect for you.

My client is looking for a mid-level, commercial designer with a young to mid-market fashion-forward handwriting style who is used to working in a fast-paced environment and can work under pressure. Woven bottom experience is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Create seasonal mood & trend boards with the design team
  • Design seasonal capsule collections along with key shapes, colour palettes, and fabric direction
  • Research and source new design ideas & fabrics/trims day to day
  • Design and develop commercial and fashion-forward products for range and clients
  • Attend fabric fairs and inspirational shopping trips
  • Attend regular design meetings with the Sales Manager and customer buying/design teams whom you will be liaising regularly with

Person Specification:

  • Strong supplier or retail background required for this role
  • Woven / Soft separates background
  • Woven bottoms experience highly desirable
  • Strong CAD skills needed
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Works well in a team
  • Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge
  • Confident when attending customer meetings
  • Fully computer literate in Photoshop and Illustrator
