We are working with a premier, design-to-delivery global garment supplier who are looking for a Designer / Senior Designer to support across jersey and woven dresses. Based in London, they have a passionate, collaborative and friendly team of fashion Designers. They do regular global inspirational trips, deliver innovative fabrics, trims, and exceptional design work. This is a pivotal, newly created position designed to strengthen their existing team and add real creative depth. You'd be designing jersey and woven dresses for market leaders. This role offers hybrid working.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Utilise internal research data, global trend trips, and market intelligence to translate high-end runway and street-style trends into commercial, jersey dress collections.
- Confidently present trend insights, mood boards, and innovative CADs/samples directly to Buyers.
- Partner closely with their talented in-house graphic design team, product managers, and overseas supply chain experts to ensure seamless design-to-delivery execution.
- Work with R&D teams to source and implement innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective fabrics and trims that maximize speed to market without compromising on quality.
- Develop balanced multi-product ranges that cater to a youthful, fashion-forward market while ensuring the handwriting maintains an elevated style.
Person Specification:
- A proven track record of designing commercial ladies' jersey dresses in either a supplier or retail environment.
- A distinct, younger, and fashion-forward aesthetic, balanced with the ability to design dresses with a more formal, elevated, and polished handwriting.
- Strong technical knowledge of jersey fabrics, garment construction, and the ability to work collaboratively with overseas production offices.
- A versatile, enthusiastic, and highly collaborative team player who thrives in a creative global network and can bring strong design talent to add immediate depth to the existing team.
