We are actively seeking a Junior Designer across womenswear athleisure to join a design-led fashion supplier working with high volume successful retailers. This is a great opportunity for a Junior Womenswear Designer to join a friendly team, supporting the development of commercially relevant products with a focus on leisure, performance and fashion jersey. The role works closely with a Senior Designer, offering strong exposure to trend research, client presentation and end-to-end sample development. This role is based in London and offers hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing seasonal and weekly trend and catwalk research, identifying key silhouettes, fabrics and design details, and reacting quickly to emerging trends.
  • Supporting and presenting to clients, selling in design direction and responding to briefs, creating moodboards.
  • Building relationships with client Buyers and Designers, sharing inspiration, receiving briefs and supporting sample development aligned to the agreed direction.
  • Creating designs and detailed technical packs under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
  • Briefing tech packs to overseas production teams and factories, answering queries and chasing developments to ensure high-quality samples are delivered to critical dates and sign offs.
  • Sending clear meeting notes and recaps to internal teams and client contacts.
  • Providing hands-on administrative support within a small business environment.

Person specifications:

  • Previous experience within a supplier or retail environment working ideally in womenswear with elevated knitted products such as tees and sweats.
  • Experience or interest in graphic and print direction is advantageous.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a commercial eye for trend and product direction.
  • Ability to create detailed tech packs, proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.

£50000 - £55000 per annum + excellent company benefits
