We are recruiting for a leading fashion supplier who are looking for a Designer across Teen, Youth and Older Girlswear to join their growing design team. Based in London, this is a customer-facing role for an experienced and commercially driven designer with a strong understanding of the youth and older girls market. You will play a key role in creating versatile, fashion-forward collections across jersey, softs and multi-product, ensuring ranges meet both customer briefs and trading requirements. This role will suit a young, trend led handwriting, for reference the likes of Bershka, Subdued, Urban Outfitters.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop commercially focused ranges across jersey, softs and multi-product that align with customer briefs, target price points and brand handwriting.
- Present ranges, concepts and design developments to buyers.
- Translate emerging trends into commercially viable product suitable for both the youth and older girls markets.
- Work independently to manage multiple accounts and product categories, maintaining strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Maintain strong commercial awareness across bestsellers, competitor activity and customer performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience designing across jersey, softs and multi-product for the trend led/youth market.
- Strong understanding of the teen, youth and older girls markets, with the ability to design appropriately for each customer and age range.
- Confident presenting to buyers, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- A trend-aware, commercial handwriting with the ability to translate fashion direction into wearable, scalable product.
- Highly organised, proactive and enthusiastic.
