We are working with a fast-growing fashion brand who are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser - Wholesale & Product to join their growing team. They would also consider a part-time structure for the right person. This is a rare hybrid role sitting at the heart of the commercial team, combining product merchandising with wholesale account support. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, managing and trading the range to achieve agreed budgets and KPIs, while also acting as a key day-to-day contact for wholesale partners as the brand continues to grow internationally. This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently in an Assistant Merchandiser, wholesale or trading support role who is ready for their next step and looking for broader ownership across WSSI, OTB, forecasting, partner relationships and critical path within a fast-paced, ambitious start-up environment.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and managing the WSSI, reviewing trading performance and highlighting key findings and actions
  • Supporting budget planning, option counts and depth of buy in line with wider business and financial goals
  • Reviewing and re-forecasting sales, intake and stock based on performance and business requirements
  • Analysing best and worst sellers, making recommendations on promotions, rebuys, markdowns and clearance activity
  • Managing OTB and responding to trade through rebuys, markdown plans and seasonal stock targets
  • Supporting the Head of Product with the wholesale expansion strategy, wholesale plan and margin targets
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for wholesale partner queries, check-ins, trade updates and in-season opportunities
  • Owning the wholesale product critical path, working closely with Product and Operations to ensure orders are processed and dispatched on time

Person specification:

  • Previous experience within merchandising, wholesale, trading support or a similar product-focused commercial role
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in merchandise planning, forecasting, OTB, markdowns and inventory management
  • Confident working with wholesale partners, internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of product critical paths, lead times, garment manufacturing and shipping processes
  • Highly organised, proactive and commercially aware, with strong Excel skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
