Location: Central London – Mayfair. Salary: 42K per year.

The Role

Full‑time assistant manager reporting directly to the General Manager. You will lead a front‑of‑house team of 10–15 colleagues, support the Head Chef and BOH operations, and be responsible for guest experience and service standards. The restaurant is open 7 days a week, with the kitchen closing at 10 pm – no extremely late nights or very early mornings. Hands‑on in service, supporting the team to deliver exceptional service and guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support leadership of a front‑of‑house team of 10–15 colleagues.
  • Support the Head Chef and BOH team operations.
  • Ensure health & safety, training and development, and business administration are maintained.
  • Review and report on weekly performance and challenges, working with senior team to overcome challenges and drive the business forward.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Restaurant Floor General Manager with proven track record of developing and retaining a high‑service standard team.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in supporting P&L and business operations.
  • Recruiting and developing teams to achieve high service standards.
  • Strong leadership experience, potential for multi‑site development.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the team and senior support.
  • Ability to review and report on weekly performance, solve problems and drive the business.
  • Eye for detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
