The Opportunity

The Restaurant Group (TRG) is seeking a Management Accountant to join our highly successful and respected team on a 12-month Contract. This role offers the opportunity to become a specialist in a key area of the P&L, while also gaining valuable experience in business partnering a division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Fixed Property Costs of the Income Statement across the Group, ensuring accurate recording, understanding, and communication.
  • Deliver and communicate key financial information to the business in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Partner with the Property Teams and Commercial Finance teams in the business to provide support and analysis, aiding decision-making.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to guide business decisions.
  • Calculate and post monthly journals to accurately report the performance of the business.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet to control and safeguard assets.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support for operations and other head office functions.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis projects.
  • Work closely with the budget holder for your assigned P&L area to assist with budgets, monthly queries, and ad hoc work.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process for the group.
  • Foster strong relationships with the wider business to ensure alignment between Finance and operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • Inquisitive mind with a questioning approach.
  • Ability to adapt and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and high integrity.
