Applications Manager

We're TRGC, one of the UK's biggest hospitality businesses, and for over 35 years we've been serving millions of guests across our restaurant group, Concessions. From high-street favourites to buzzing airports, our diverse portfolio including iconic brands like Giraffe offers something for everyone. It's all about great food, welcoming spaces, and experiences people come back for.

The Role

We are looking for an Applications Manager to act as the operational owner for a portfolio of hospitality applications, including POS, back-office, labour, inventory, ordering, loyalty, and supplier systems. The role is responsible for maintaining control and accountability across system configuration, master data, user access, supplier actions, release readiness, and post-change validation. Working closely with Technology, Operations, Finance, HR, and third-party suppliers, the Applications Manager will ensure systems support reliable trading and effective operational processes, while reducing avoidable disruption through improved standards, documentation, escalation routes, and recurring issue management.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the day-to-day management, configuration and administration of assigned business-critical hospitality applications.
  • Maintain accurate master data, system records, access permissions and configuration controls across relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate suppliers, support teams and internal stakeholders to resolve incidents, recurring issues and configuration problems.
  • Support new site activity, system changes, testing, release readiness and post-change validation to protect operational continuity.
  • Ensure audit evidence, documentation, process notes and ownership records are maintained and easy to follow.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, operational noise and repeat support issues through better standards and clearer processes.

Systems and tools experience

  • Hospitality applications such as POS, digital ordering, back office, stock, labour, rota, kitchen technology, loyalty, delivery aggregator and reporting platforms.
  • Experience with Zonal, Fourth, Oracle Hospitality, payments, kiosks or airport and travel hospitality systems would be beneficial.
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel and Power BI or equivalent reporting tools, with focus on data structures and report integrity rather than full BI ownership.
  • ITSM platforms, supplier portals and ticket management processes.

What you bring

  • Accountable and detail-led, with pride in getting the basics right.
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise based on operational and trading impact.
  • Collaborative, practical and confident challenging unclear ownership or weak process.
  • Curious about root causes, not just quick fixes.
  • Clear communicator who can explain application risks, decisions and next steps without unnecessary jargon.

What's in it for you

  • Impact from day one: Your decisions keep our sites trading and our guests happy.
  • Freedom & flexibility: Field-based autonomy, blended with supportive HQ touchpoints.
  • Career runway: Learn from industry pros, gain airport-specific expertise and grow with TRG.
  • People you'll like: Down-to-earth teammates who work hard, solve fast and have fun doing it.
  • Travel covered: We'll pick up the tab for the miles (and flights) you rack up when travelling for work.

We believe brilliant hospitality starts with brilliant people. We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where every voice is valued, and we're proud to be a Disability Confident employer.
