Electrician (Gold Card) - CIS Contract Location: Reading and surrounding areas Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week About Us: We are a leading Electrical Contractor delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and fit-out services across commercial, industrial, and residential projects throughout the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking experienced Gold Card Electricians to join our team on a CIS basis in the Reading area. The Role: Working on a range of commercial and industrial projects, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, and testing works to a high standard. Reporting to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager, you will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current regulations and project specifications. Key Responsibilities: Installation of containment systems including tray, basket, trunking, and conduit First and second fix electrical installations Installation of lighting, power, and distribution systems Cable pulling, terminating, and glanding Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications Carrying out fault finding and remedial works where required Testing and inspection of electrical installations Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671 and site requirements Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures on site Maintaining a clean and organised work area Reporting defects, delays, and site issues to management Working collaboratively with other trades and site teams Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Electrician Valid ECS Gold Card (essential) NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification Experience on commercial construction projects Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and regulations Own tools and PPE IPAF and PASMA desirable but not essential Full UK Driving Licence preferred Reliable, professional, and capable of working independently What We Offer: Long-term CIS contract opportunities Competitive hourly rates Weekly CIS payments Consistent work across Reading and surrounding areas Opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects Immediate starts available Job Type: Full-time, CIS Contract Benefits: Weekly CIS payments Ongoing contract work Free on-site parking (where available) Opportunity for contract extensions To Apply: Click 'Apply Now' or email liam.boyd@theresourcingteam.com with your CV and contact details.
