This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Manchester area, United Kingdom, for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.

  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections of fire alarm systems on client premises.
  • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
  • Testing of detectors, call points, sounders, and control panels on client and customer premises.
  • Ensure compliance with British Standards (BS 5839).
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate records using company software.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients whilst on sites.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs when required.
  • Ensure all work meets UK fire safety regulations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle whilst adhering to company policies.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in fire alarm system servicing and testing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire safety systems (e.g., FIA, BAFE certifications) are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve technical problems effectively.
  • Working alongside other engineers to ensure projects are completed within certain timeframes.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work in the UK.
