This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Manchester area, United Kingdom, for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections of fire alarm systems on client premises.
- Diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
- Testing of detectors, call points, sounders, and control panels on client and customer premises.
- Ensure compliance with British Standards (BS 5839).
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records using company software.
- Provide technical support and advice to clients whilst on sites.
- Respond to emergency call-outs when required.
- Ensure all work meets UK fire safety regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle whilst adhering to company policies.
Qualifications / Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in fire alarm system servicing and testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire safety systems (e.g., FIA, BAFE certifications) are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work independently and solve technical problems effectively.
- Working alongside other engineers to ensure projects are completed within certain timeframes.
- A valid driver’s license.
