Business Development Manager – Fire Protection
Field-based covering London & Southeast
Salary up to £55k + company car + commission
The Reourcing Team is supporting a customer that successfully delivers fire alarm maintenance, capital works and it’s own technology solutions to high-profile Public Sector customers ie Health Trusts, Universities and Government Departments.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to further penetrate this market.
This role will focus on market research inc. framework investigation, building relationships, understanding regulatory requirements, and providing tailored safety solutions to agreed financial and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategic Planning:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify frameworks, tender opportunities, trends, and opportunities related to compliance and safety in the Public Sector.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to further penetrate these markets, expand existing accounts, and drive sales growth.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in these sectors.
- Understand client needs, regulatory requirements, and operational challenges to provide customised compliance solutions.
Product Expertise and Solution Selling:
- Develop a deep understanding of our compliance-based safety systems, including features, benefits, and regulatory implications.
- Present and demonstrate products & services effectively to stakeholders, emphasising how our solutions can enhance safety and ensure compliance.
Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:
- Prepare detailed proposals and pricing structures that align with client needs and budget constraints for PPMs, capital works and Technology
- Negotiate contracts and terms to close deals while ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
Sales Metrics and Performance Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software.
- Analyse sales data and market feedback to inform strategies and improve performance.
Industry Networking and Representation:
- Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to represent the company and expand professional connections.
- Engage with relevant industry associations to stay informed about regulatory changes and best practices in safety compliance.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of safety compliance regulations and standards relevant to Public Sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable creating & delivering using PowerPoint and MS Teams
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to assess market trends and client needs to develop effective sales strategies
- Strong ability to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Skilled in identifying potential compliance challenges and providing innovative safety solutions.
