Recruiting on behalf of a leader in the field of Escalator Engineering who specialise in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and refurbishment of escalators across the UK.

This is a full-time, on-site Field Service role for an Escalator Service & Repair Engineer / Escalator Engineer to cover the Birmingham and Midlands area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Servicing, installation, and repair of escalators, travelators, and walkways.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Replacing or repairing components.
  • Conducting safety checks.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Effective communication with clients and providing on-site customer support.

Please note there is an active on-call rota including weekends and bank holidays. The role will come with a competitive salary, Company Van, Tools, Uniform etc and there is ongoing training and progression available within the company.

Skills and experience:

  • Hands-on Escalator Engineering experience, at least Servicing but ideally Installation and Refurbishment experience.
  • Minimum NVQ 3 Qualification in Escalator Engineering.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify technical issues efficiently.
  • Willingness to work on-site at client locations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications or experience in escalator maintenance is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions.
