Join a forward-thinking transport organisation using data and digital tools to shape infrastructure planning across the North of England. Working with partners like Network Rail, TfN, and the DfT, you'll lead the development of interactive platforms and dashboards that make complex data clear and actionable.
This is a unique role that sits within an analytics-focused team, working with the transport modelling, economic analysis and GIS modelling teams, developing new dashboards and visualisation tools to present the data. As a Web developer you will lead full-cycle development, from concept development of the idea, looking at what the end product is being used for. Working with the analytical team, through to creating the platform and delivering the user experience.
The work undertaken across the organisation is to utilise data that goes towards making informed decisions that influences infrastructure investment across the Transportation network. Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:
- Design and build modern web apps, dashboards, and data tools
- Develop GIS visualisations and interactive models
- Maintain cloud environments (Azure) and data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Strong full-stack development skills (JavaScript, Python, PHP)
- Experience with data visualisation, GIS, and Azure environments
This role is based in Manchester but working 3 days a week from home and 2 days in the office working with the other stakeholders involved in your web application.
