Role Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor who has a National Highways division delivering various projects from Frameworks through to major projects. This role is a mentor/assurance based role, managing Quantity Surveyors that work on the projects on a day-to-day basis. This role supports the Quantity Surveyors, assisting them with skill gaps, checking the accounts, and ensuring that the work is undertaken correctly.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing several small schemes and one large multi-million project.
- Managing a small team of Quantity Surveyors delivering live Highway schemes.
- Overseeing the detailed bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.
- Monitoring project costs against your package of works.
- Supporting the management of sub-contractor costs and payments.
- Reporting and managing variations, claims, and other contractual issues that may arise.
- Mentoring and managing the quantity surveyors, focusing on leadership and training aspects.
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships both internally and with external sub-contractors.
This role is office based 3 days a week, then 2 days a week from home as you need to be around your Quantity Surveyors.
