The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a leading mechanical and electrical engineering contractor, delivering programmes of work across National Grid and Scottish Power frameworks within their Transmission & Distribution division. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to appoint an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing works across the Central Belt.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly into the Lead Quantity Surveyor, supporting the commercial delivery of multiple projects across a busy framework. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS within infrastructure or civil engineering looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work.
Day to day duties will vary but could include:
- Supporting the commercial management of multiple framework projects
- Administering NEC contracts
- Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts
- Supporting cost forecasting, reporting and change management
- Coordinating with operational teams to drive commercial performance
- Identifying risks, issues and opportunities across projects
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Working Arrangements:
- Based in Glasgow with site travel as required
- Hybrid working
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience within Quantity Surveying, ideally within Power or civil engineering environments
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams within a framework environment
- Background within T&D is advantageous, but open to wider civils experience
- Ability to manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts independently
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost reporting, forecasting and change management
