Location: Norfolk
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor who has a National Highways division delivering various projects from Frameworks through to major projects. This role is supporting the Quantity Surveyors, assisting them with skill gaps, checking the accounts and ensuring that the work is undertaken correctly. Managing several small schemes and one large multi-million project.
Day to day duties will vary but could include:
- Managing a small team of Quantity Surveyors delivering live Highway schemes.
- Overseeing the detailed bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.
- Monitoring project costs against your package of works.
- Supporting the management of the sub-contractor costs and payments.
- Reporting and managing variations, claims, and other contractual issues that may arise.
- Mentoring and managing the quantity surveyors, focusing on leadership and training aspects.
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships both internally and with external sub-contractors.
This role is office based 3 days a week, then 2 days a week from home as you need to be around your Quantity Surveyors. Face to face support and mentoring is key when managing and developing your team.
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree qualified – Ideally in Quantity Surveying
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with proven ability in developing more junior members of staff.
- Full driving licence
