Principal Electrical Engineer – London

Location: London

Position Overview: The Resolute Group is partnering with an International Engineering and Design Consultancy to expand their M&E Team focused on Data Center Projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and project teams to develop electronic designs for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop detailed diagrams of electrical installations and coordinate with other disciplines to allocate initial space reservations for equipment and infrastructure.
• Utilize 3D Revit/BIM software to model electrical installations based on diagrams and coordinated space reservations, ensuring accuracy and compatibility with other building systems.
• Address any design challenges or modifications during the construction phase, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to project timelines.
• Actively participate in design reviews and project meetings, providing input and feedback to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical engineering and data center construction, incorporating best practices into project designs and processes.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to support the construction and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of electrical engineering design and construction.

Experience & Qualifications

• A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ideally 3-5 years relevant work experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with Revit / CAD software.
