Location: Glasgow

Working Pattern: 2 days a week on site / Office, 3 days a week from home.

Role Description: As a Senior Bid Manager within the Power division, you will be leading on projects within the overall Framework. With the framework already awarded, this role is more about leading the bids for the work that has already been allotted. You will be managing the portfolio, building bids and programmes to gain financial sign off as not all the work is financially viable on the Power frameworks.

Working for the Tier 1 contractor, you will be managing the full Bidding process from being the client lead through to managing the internal stakeholders to develop the bid, including the Estimators, Planning, Commercial, Bid managers and Project Directors. Reporting into the Head of Bidding, you will have an experienced professional to support and develop your career. All the projects are within the Energy / Power sector, with a focus on the civil engineering aspects.

This is a hybrid role, but you need to have full control over the project, managing it as you see fit. Some weeks may need your full attention on site, others may require just a light touch, giving you time for reports, meetings and admin time.

Required Experience:

  • Formal qualification – HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proven bidding experience in leading large £50m+ project or Framework bidding within the Civil Engineering sector.
  • Full driving licence
  • Living in Scotland on a full-time basis.
