Working for a market-leading Engineering & Construction contractor within their Energy and Infrastructure division, delivering complex high-voltage substation and civil engineering projects across the UK.
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 basic + package
The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a leading Engineering & Construction contractor within the Energy sector, delivering high-voltage substation and infrastructure projects across the UK. With a secured long-term framework in place with Scottish Power Energy Networks, the business is delivering substation upgrades and new build works across Scotland, including complex civil engineering and temporary works elements in live operational environments.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their engineering capability with the appointment of a Senior Temporary Works Engineer. You will be responsible for the coordination, design review and assurance of temporary works across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safe delivery on site. You will work closely with design teams and construction teams to support buildability, sequencing and risk management within live substation environments.
Day to Day Duties Will Include:
- Take ownership of temporary works design coordination across substation and civil engineering projects
- Review, approve and manage temporary works designs in line with relevant standards and procedures
- Liaise with designers, contractors and site teams to ensure safe and practical temporary works solutions
- Support construction sequencing and methodology development in relation to temporary works requirements
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, internal governance and client standards
- Conduct temporary works risk assessments and identify mitigation measures
- Manage temporary works registers, documentation and assurance processes
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and act as a key point of contact for temporary works queries
- Attend site and design coordination meetings, ensuring alignment between design intent and construction delivery
- Support continuous improvement of temporary works procedures and engineering standards
Requirements:
- Experience in Energy, Power, Utilities, Rail, Highways or wider Infrastructure projects
- Strong background in Temporary Works design or coordination
- Engineering qualification (HNC / HND or Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred)
