Location: Glasgow (Central Belt focus)
Salary: £90,000 basic + £7,000 Car allowance + Bonus + Package
Hybrid working with 2-3 days from home and 2-3 days in the Glasgow office, but travel may be required to client sites for meetings.
Role Description
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor to identify and secure a Senior Commercial Manager to take the lead on HV / Sub Station projects in the Scottish / Central belt region. The successful candidate will oversee all commercial aspects of the framework, ensuring robust contract management, effective risk mitigation, budgetary control, and compliance with client requirements. This is a key leadership role, interfacing with internal project teams and external stakeholders to deliver value and performance in line with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial function across a major project (£50m+) on the Scottish Power framework, ensuring contractual and financial performance.
- Provide strategic commercial input across all phases of the delivery – from tender through to final account.
- Oversee contract administration, including NEC3/4 or other relevant contract forms.
- Manage and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors to deliver the project.
- Monitor, control, and report on commercial risk and opportunities across the project.
- Ensure accurate cost forecasting, cash flow, and budget management.
- Lead commercial negotiations and client interactions for the project, ensuring positive outcomes for all parties.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership and client representatives.
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree – Minimum requirement in Quantity Surveying or Construction-based subject.
- Major Infrastructure project experience, delivering NEC 3/4 forms of contract.
- Scottish based as you will be in Glasgow 2-3 days a week with meetings across the Central belt.
