The Resolute Group have been retained by an international manufacturer of specialist components, supplying critical parts for the Power sector across the globe. A key player in the supply chain for both major projects and wholesale distributors, covering multiple industries within the Power sector umbrella (Oil & Gas, Data Centres, Renewable Energy, National Grid (Power and Transmission), Manufacturing etc.).

Following consistent growth across the UK, Europe and globally, which included over £20m of investment in the latest state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, the business is growing its workforce. This includes expanding its 50+ Sales workforce across the globe, leading to this position becoming available in the UK. Following an internal promotion, my client is now looking for a leader to backfill their position and take over leadership of a Sales team of 5 people.

This is not a pure strategic role; you will still be hands-on, speaking to clients, developing the pipeline for your team and working with your team to set a sales strategy for the UK business. This role is a mix of being able to grow a new and existing client base in your region, working to develop the skills within your sales team, identifying new projects and opportunities then working together to achieve your sales target for the UK.

You need to come from a technical background, as this is technical sales, working with clients to understand what they need, their programme of works and developing the timeline that works for both the project and internal manufacturing process.

Role Responsibility:

  • Drive commercial growth by converting project opportunities and influencing specifications across Scandinavia.
  • Identify and develop new business with end users, specifiers, OEMs, and distributors.
  • Build and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to strengthen market presence and align with broader sales objectives.
  • Manage own sales pipeline while supporting team performance where needed.

Person Specification:

  • Previous Business Development experience within an Engineering or Technical product environment.
  • Full driving license, with flexibility to travel.
  • Self-motivated, commercially aware, and capable of working remotely without micro-management.
