Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
The Resolute Group is supporting an M&E contractor in searching an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to leading building services project across mixed sectors.
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Car allowance + Pension + Benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key player in the delivery of complex electrical designs across a diverse range of building projects.
You’ll be involved in developing innovative electrical systems for schemes across a wide variety of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, retail, and hospitality. The role combines technical leadership, client liaison, and team mentoring, making it ideal for a well-rounded engineer ready to take on more responsibility.
Day to day responsibilities for Senior Electrical Design Engineer:
- Act as the lead electrical engineer on multiple projects, guiding them from initial concept to completion
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, representing FP Hurley at meetings and design reviews
- Manage design resources and ensure project delivery aligns with deadlines, standards, and client expectations
- Support and mentor junior members of the team, sharing your technical expertise and promoting knowledge development
- Provide regular updates and technical reports to the M&E Design Director
Ideal experience of Senior Electrical Design Engineer:
- A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- Demonstrated experience delivering electrical designs for large or complex building services projects
- A deep understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and other key industry design codes
- Familiarity with modern electrical design tools and software such as Revit, Amtech, and Dialux
- Full UK driving license
