Head of Projects – The Resolute Group
Delivery Director – Operations
Excellent opportunity to work for a growing Consultancy focused on delivering Operational performance within the Utilities space.
Location: London
Hybrid working pattern that needs flexibility around the client and stakeholder meetings. Typically, 2 days from home and 3 days in an office, be it internal or external stakeholder meetings.
Role Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Utilities consultancy, operating across the UK, involved with the key Water, Gas & Power providers in the sector.
This role is a Delivery role but in Operations, Not Engineering, looking at the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 service.
The first programme is overseeing a team of 100 professionals involved with the upgrade and expansion of the existing network. Leading a team delivering the 24/7 operation of the Control room to ensure minimum disruption, Planning, Permits and scheduling, as there are fines in place for delays and disruption to the network.
You will have total control of the programme and assets on behalf of the client, ensuring a smooth transition from project completion to normal day-to-day operations. Every part of the process needs to be seamlessly integrated into the existing systems, including data capture, updating the asset registers, and interfacing with the various stakeholders.
Although the project has got work on the ground installing new pipelines, pumps and valves, this role is focused on the operations and running of the network. Your team will be interfacing with the contractors regarding the programme and ensuring milestones are being achieved. Then you will be leading the operational elements to ensure the network is performing to the correct standards and expectations from within the organisation.
The working offices are based around London with travel needed to other regional offices on an ad hoc basis, which could be as far as Birmingham. A great location would be someone living in the Home Counties region but all travel is covered door to door if you\’re happy living further away.
Candidate background:
- Degree qualification – Subject can vary as this is NOT an Engineering role.
- Experience in Utilities be it Water, Gas or Power networks.
- Operational experience, understanding how a 24/7 utility network operates from the control room through to managing the assets.
- Ideally, working for a consultancy previously so you understand the stakeholders and interfaces you will encounter and issues you will experience in upgrading new assets on a utility network.

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position.
