You’ll be involved in high voltage design and construction projects, supporting the delivery of essential works that are critical to grid resilience and future demand.

Location: South East / Midlands (Hybrid – Home, Site & Client Offices)

Salary: Competitive base £65k–£70k + uncapped earning potential + car allowance + full package

Role Description: The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a leading engineering contractor delivering programmes of work across National Grid and Scottish Power frameworks within their Transmission & Distribution division. Due to continued growth and an increase in secured workload across key accounts, they are looking to appoint an additional Sales Engineer to support account development and commercial growth across their HV infrastructure portfolio.

As a Sales Engineer, you will report directly into the Team Leader responsible for a key SSE framework, supporting the ongoing development and expansion of a high-volume, established account within the High Voltage (11kV–400kV) sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in switchgear or high voltage substation engineering who is looking to move into a more client-facing, commercially driven role within a growing infrastructure business.

Day to day duties will vary but could include:

  • Managing and developing an established key account within the Transmission & Distribution sector
  • Supporting growth across HV substation and switchgear projects (11kV–400kV)
  • Acting as the main point of contact for client engagement and relationship management
  • Working closely with operational and engineering teams to support project delivery
  • Identifying new opportunities within existing frameworks and secured pipelines
  • Maintaining and updating CRM systems with pipeline, activity, and account information
  • Supporting bid, proposal, and quotation activity where required
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams

Qualifications:

  • Background in High Voltage engineering, ideally within switchgear or substation environments (11kV–400kV)
  • Previous exposure to client-facing, sales engineering, or account management roles
  • Strong understanding of HV systems, electrical infrastructure, or grid-related projects
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support account growth and opportunity identification
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Experience working with CRM systems or structured pipeline management tools is advantageous
