The Role: As Rail Asset Management Consultant you will provide consultancy services to clients who are seeking to improve the efficiency, capacity, safety and value-for-money of their railway assets. You will:
- Act as a source of guidance and expertise both to clients and to colleagues, ensuring a proactive approach is taken to resolving issues and identifying and working around constraints, and demonstrating a consistently high standard of delivery;
- Support the procurement/bidding through technical leadership;
- Develop client feasibility studies to aid business decisions;
- Lead technical management of external interfaces;
- Developing and optimising operational interfaces;
- Preparing and presenting technical publications;
- Mentor and lead junior members of staff.
Role requirements:
- Significant experience working in rail infrastructure, managing all aspects of, for example, project and system specification, asset management, maintenance optimisation and investment, safety approvals or justification.
- Experience at the system and overall project in reliability / maintenance improvement programmes and asset management (eg ISO 55000/55001).
- Particularly interested in candidates with a background in the following rail systems: telecoms, signalling, ETCS/TMS, OLE/electrification and track.
- Degree in Engineering.
- Working towards chartership or chartered.
