Join a leading global engineering consultancy with major rail projects.
Role: As a senior engineer and line manager member of the Rail Civil Engineering Team, the role forms a key position providing civil engineering skills and technical knowledge of railway design and operations input into single- and multidisciplinary projects. You will be responsible for and working as part of a large team comprising designers, engineers and technicians, or leading a number of Engineers and more junior technical staff with input to railway projects of various sizes. You will also be responsible for liaising regularly with staff managers and other technical leads, CREs, and team leaders. You may also be CRE for certain projects.
Role requirements:
- A good Civil Engineering degree, as well as chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body such as ICE.
- Experience in the design of railway infrastructure in the UK.
- Experience in the use of design software packages (MicroStation, InRail, TerraModelling, ClearRoute, etc.) will be necessary.
- Experience of other software tools (Project Programming, Word Processor, Spreadsheets, etc.) will also be necessary.
- Experience leading a civil design team either as a Senior, Principal or Team Leader.
