Undertaking a pivotal role in the business, you shall ensure that responsibility is taken for the proper completion of projects.
This role will include working within a number of environments such as factory’s, offices and schools across the UK, requiring evening and weekend work with overnight stays.
As an Experienced Electrician you are required to survey works from site visits, drawings and specifications in order to provide the projects team with quotation details.
Key Tasks
- Carry out site surveys as required and report to project management team on clients’ requirements. Provide a comprehensive parts and materials list, along with a description of the works required, identifying any concerns or recommendations.
- Manage assigned engineering projects through to completion, whilst complying with Company and Client H&S rules and regulations.
- Liaise with the customers on site, communicating with relevant personnel through emails or in person as required.
- Fault Finding/fault reporting, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated to the correct parties, provide reports if required.
- Independent Inspection and testing of installations and modifications to electrical and engineering circuits.
- Complete Electrical condition reports.
- Installation of all containment systems.
- Independently organising materials for works to be undertaken.
- Carry out and supervise IMAC’s (installs, moves & changes) as requested.
- As an Experienced Electrician, provide technical support to the team as required.
- Work with testing equipment, e.g. megger, fluke., and understand test results to provide reports as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all activities in accordance with statutory requirements i.e Rams, Company H&S policies and procedures.
- Document and report on accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Maintain and use Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) provided in accordance with instructions, ensure all members of your team have the appropriate PPE.
- Complete general administration tasks, (job sheets/surveys/timesheets)
- Assist in supporting the team as whole where and when required.
- Attend engineering meetings as and when required.
- Ensure safe handling of testing equipment, tooling and the operations of Boom, Scissor lifts as required.
- Adhere to stock control procedures and report on any requirements needed.
- Liaise with Engineering Supervisor daily on any issues, improvement recommendations.
