You will manage the technical, commercial, and delivery aspects of electrical based projects. The role requires hands-on project leadership and the ability to manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical projects, including planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Deliver multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they meet agreed timeframes, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to develop tailored project solutions.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, including quotations, schedules, risk assessments, and technical records.
- Ensure all works comply with current legislation, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and company safety procedures.
- Visit project sites as required to carry out surveys, manage delivery, and resolve technical issues.
- Support the development of junior engineers and ensure consistent quality of installation and workmanship.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and third-party contractors.
- Contribute to planning and resource allocation meetings to support wider operational objectives.
- Help identify project risks early and manage them effectively.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Relevant electrical academic qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering).
- Proven experience managing electrical projects
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- Confident in producing project plans, costings, and technical documentation.
- Effective communicator, capable of engaging with clients, contractors, and colleagues across functions.
- Strong Understanding of NICEIC regulations
- Commercially aware, with a solutions-focused approach to client requirements.
