The Relais Henley, Henley-on-Thames is looking for an energetic, reliable team player to join the kitchen crew at a stunning 40‑bedroom boutique lifestyle hotel in the heart of Henley-on-Thames. About the role

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operation, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Your role will include:

  • Keeping the back‑of‑house kitchen areas clean, tidy and well organised
  • Supporting our chefs whenever needed
  • Ensuring health & safety, hygiene, fire and COSHH standards are always met
  • Making sure the right chemicals and cleaning products are used correctly
  • Minimising breakages and reporting any issues promptly
  • Working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment so chefs always have the equipment they need
  • Helping with deliveries and storing stock
  • Managing waste and recycling ready for collection

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous kitchen or porter experience (great, but not essential)
  • Understands how a clean kitchen contributes to great guest experiences
  • Has a genuine interest in hospitality and teamwork
  • Is happy working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Can stay calm and focused in a busy environment
  • Has good spoken English and communicates well
  • Enjoys multitasking and getting stuck in
