About the role
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operation, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Your role will include:
- Keeping the back-of-house kitchen areas clean, tidy and well organised
- Supporting our chefs whenever needed
- Ensuring health & safety, hygiene, fire and COSHH standards are always met
- Making sure the right chemicals and cleaning products are used correctly
- Minimising breakages and reporting any issues promptly
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment so chefs always have the equipment they need
- Helping with deliveries and storing stock
- Managing waste and recycling ready for collection
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous kitchen or porter experience (great, but not essential) this is a highly physical role
- Understands how a clean kitchen contributes to great guest experiences
- Has a genuine interest in hospitality and teamwork
- Is happy working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Can stay calm and focused in a busy environment
- Has good spoken English and communicates well
- Enjoys multitasking and getting stuck in
