Start date: September 2026; Salary: Unqualified teachers salary scale. Opportunity to access enhanced United Learning salaries in ECT Year 1 onwards (subject to securing permanent position). Contract: Full time, one year in the first instance, with opportunity to continue teaching at The Regis.

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to train to teach religion education with us at The Regis School, in partnership with United Teaching. Our RE department is a highly ambitious and well-established team comprising teachers that are passionate about their subject and driven to support every student to achieve their very best. The department is well led, and there are several experienced mentors with a proven track record of offering excellent developmental support to trainees, helping to facilitate the best start to their teaching career.

  • Support and training that will lead to qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Train to teach in disruption-free classrooms, allowing you to focus on mastering the art of teaching.
  • Access to a well-resourced curriculum that includes detailed resources which will heavily structure and scaffold your lesson planning.
  • Access to a dedicated mentor, with protected time each week, working closely with you as you develop as an effective classroom practitioner.
  • Training both online and face-to-face with United Teaching, with protected time one day a week to support you with this training (travel expenses included as part of your training).

  • Access to regular, research-based CPD opportunities that will allow you to build your knowledge of effective teaching and learning, including weekly department CPD.
