Job Summary
Cover Supervisor required to start as soon as possible. Salary: £26,681 (FTE £32,663). Hours: 35.5 hours per week – term‑time only plus 5 days.
Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to support teaching and learning within our school.
The role involves delivering lessons in the absence of a class teacher, ensuring that students continue to learn new knowledge or revisit prior knowledge and make progress through the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students to complete their learning.
- Deliver prepared resources when a teacher is absent, promoting engagement and supporting progress of students.
- Create a calm and purposeful environment in which students can complete work set productively.
- Set and maintain high expectations and standards around effort and behaviour.
- Follow the school’s systems to ensure a disruption‑free learning environment for all pupils.
- Establish purposeful and positive relationships with students.
- Be in front of classes across the secondary age range, delivering lessons and sharing prepared resources across multiple subjects.
- Model the school values and ethos, ensuring students thrive within and beyond the classroom.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a grade 4/C in Maths and English.
