The role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative you will be expected to carry out gardening and grounds maintenance duties as well as deliver advice to residents, colleagues and clients.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Carry out tree and gardening, grounds maintenance and other general repairs
- Responsible for own safe working practices
- Locating properties and grounds in various areas
- Organise gardening schedule effectively and independently
- Documents all work completed efficiently and accurately
- Communicating with internal office staff, colleagues and managers
You may be directed by your line manager to carry out other duties in line with your post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.
The right fit
- You have demonstrable experience of horticulture and/or landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of horticultural procedures and the safe use of equipment such as lawnmowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, chippers and hand tools.
- You have a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Awareness of relevant health and safety protocols.
- Ability to keep accurate records of work.
- Experience dealing with the public on a regular basis.
- You have a full UK driving license.
