The Role
As the Head Chef, you will lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests. You will bring a blend of culinary expertise, creativity, and strong leadership to oversee every detail of our kitchen operations.
Responsibilities Include
- Design the creation of menus, considering seasonal ingredients, market trends, customer preferences, and dietary restrictions
- Develop and manage the kitchen budget, including cost control measures and financial reporting
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, ingredient sourcing and presentation
- Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen
- Help establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality and fresh ingredients
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team to consistently deliver exceptional and memorable dining experiences, supporting the team and encouraging growth
- Provide training, and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, providing guidance and a collaborative work environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the kitchen teams comply with all health and safety regulations
- Stay informed about industry trends, new ingredients, and culinary techniques
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, or in a similar leadership role
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully
- Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential

The Redcliffe has 70 ensuite rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness suite and 2 seaside restaurants.
