Are you a passionate hospitality professional who loves leading teams and creating exceptional guest experiences? The Red Lion Restaurant at Peak Edge Hotel is looking for an inspiring Restaurant Manager to lead our front of house team. Set on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, the Red Lion offers a relaxed yet refined dining experience built around seasonal menus, locally sourced ingredients and genuine, warm hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day running of the restaurant and deliver the warm, professional hospitality the Red Lion is known for.
  • Lead and motivate the front of house team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Be a visible and welcoming presence on the restaurant floor.
  • Ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and a memorable dining experience.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver seamless service.
  • Manage team training, development and performance.
  • Oversee service standards across breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
  • Support recruitment, team organisation and daily operations.
  • Maintain the relaxed yet refined atmosphere that defines the Red Lion.

Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Confident and approachable leader who can inspire and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Personality, warmth and a positive, solutions‑focused attitude.
  • Previous restaurant management or senior supervisory experience.
  • Hands‑on leader who enjoys being present on the restaurant floor.
  • Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy, fast‑paced environment.

Hours & Flexibility

This is a full‑time role, and the position will include evening and weekend shifts as part of a rota.
