Red House Group in Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced professional for a Data and IT Manager role. Remuneration will be based on skill and experience.

Main duties of the job:

  • Ensure a good knowledge of service specifications eg QOF, ECF, IIF, imms and plan how to achieve these targets through coordinating nursing and pharmacist clinics.
  • Perform EMIS and Ardens searches, audits, and reports to maximise target attainment.
  • Monitor recall register, which may include creating and modifying EMIS and Accurax templates/protocols/forms/documents.
  • Complete and submit monthly or quarterly enhanced service claims.
  • Monitor weekly/monthly care home specification requirements to ensure these are met.
  • Update website, screen slides in waiting rooms and answer phone messages as necessary.
  • Organise and coordinate annual Flu/Covid Campaign with logistical oversight to ensure supply, patient invites, clinics.
  • Be involved in project work (e.g. new software/app launch) as directed by Practice Manager.
  • Participate in practice improvement and digital transformation projects.
  • Manage 4-5 admin staff members (rota/annual leave/absences) of the support team and carry out appraisals/development support.
  • Set up IT profiles etc for new starters including Smartcard.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on EMIS system.
  • Support with IT issues to ensure smooth running of the clinics.
  • Work with IT lead to help facilitate new IT solutions.

Red House Surgery is a well-established NHS GP practice located in Radlett, Hertfordshire. It forms the hub of The Red House Group, which also includes branch surgeries in nearby Park Street and Shenley, together serving over 20,000 patients across South-West Hertfordshire. The practice blends a long-standing history in community care (serving its local area for more than a century) with modern, patient-focused NHS services. The practice is part of the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board, supporting joined-up care across primary, community and specialist services.

  • Experience of EMIS/Ardens searches - modification of templates/protocols/forms/documents.
  • Experience of AccurX.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the GP NHS environment with EMIS/Ardens/Accurx knowledge.
