Night Team Member to join our Front Office team on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys delivering exceptional guest experiences and thrives in a varied, hands-on role.

Working throughout the night, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, providing outstanding service across both Reception and Food & Beverage while maintaining the highest standards of presentation, safety and guest care.

You will also occasionally support day shifts, providing flexibility across the department.

As a member of the Front Office team, our colleagues and guests expect an individual whose appearance, clothing and general demeanour reflect the high standards of Red Carnation Hotels.

Key Responsibilities of a Night Team Member

  • Delivering a warm and professional welcome to all guests throughout the night.
  • Completing guest check-ins and check-outs in line with company standards.
  • Maintaining accurate guest profiles, guest histories and hotel records.
  • Handling reservations and enquiries while helping to maximise occupancy and revenue.
  • Being knowledgeable about hotel facilities, promotions, packages and experiences.
  • Promoting sister hotels, restaurants and bars across the Red Carnation collection.
  • Preparing and serving items from the night menu and early breakfast offering.
  • Supporting Food & Beverage operations through stock replenishment and preparation for the following day.
  • Completing Night Audit procedures and reconciling banking activities.
  • Delivering room service orders efficiently and in line with hotel standards.
  • Ensuring reception, lobby, pantry and public areas are presented to the highest standard.
  • Conducting security checks, fire walks and maintaining a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Handling guest requests and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Maintaining accurate shift handovers and operational communication.
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives and reducing waste and energy consumption within the department.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous Front Office experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and guest service.
  • A confident, personable and professional approach.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative during night shifts.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with hotel systems; Opera Cloud experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience handling guest enquiries and reservations.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as required by the business.
  • A commitment to maintaining the high service standards associated with Red Carnation Hotels.
