We are recruiting for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie - Pastry to join the culinary team at our luxury hotel. This is a full‑time position, ideal for someone with previous experience in a four or five‑star hotel or fine dining environment. You should be able to effectively work as part of a fast‑paced team and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will report directly to the Executive Head Chef.

Location: The Summer Lodge Country House Hotel

Employment Type: Permanent

Working pattern: 5 days working, 2 days off

Key Responsibilities of Pastry Chef de Partie:

  • Set up and run the pastry section efficiently and independently.
  • Assist the senior chef in the day‑to‑day pastry operations.
  • Prepare and present high‑quality desserts for à la carte, banqueting, and afternoon tea service.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all pastry offerings.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing skills and supporting development.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and organisation on your section.
  • Conduct ordering and stock rotation for your area of responsibility.
  • Always uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
