The Recruitment Station are recruiting for a Counterbalance Driver to work for our client who is based on the Interlink Ind Est in Coalville LE67.

This position will involve 40% FLT work and 60% manual work; candidates will not be on the FLT all day.

Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour.

Hours of work: 12 noon – 8.00pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hrs)

This job will require candidates to be physically fit and have a keen eye for detail as you will be unloading containers by handball and putting stock into slot locations within the warehouse using a Counterbalance truck.

The client will also look to put suitable candidates on a conversion course to drive an Aisle Master truck.

Own transport will be required due to shift start times and location.

Counterbalance Driver role will include:

  • Unload shipping containers in a safe and careful way as not to damage stock
  • Put stock away using a Counterbalance Forklift truck
  • Lift and stack items onto pallets or into locations within the warehouse
  • Correctly match unloaded items with customer paperwork
  • Pick and pack items ready for dispatch
  • Assist with all other duties in the warehouse when required

Qualities required from a Counterbalance Driver:

  • National accredited Counterbalance Forklift License.
  • Keen eye for detail and a good level of English and numeracy as you will need to match items with paperwork
  • Physically fit as you will need to move stock up to 25-30 KG
  • Able to work and communicate within a team to complete tasks
  • Good timekeeping and reliability from candidates is essential for the client's business
