Finance Assistant – Maternity Cover (12 Months) Our client is seeking a skilled and organised Finance Assistant to provide maternity cover for a one-year period. This position is crucial for supporting the Finance team in delivering accurate and efficient financial operations. The successful candidate will thrive under pressure, work independently, and bring a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities for the Finance Assistant : Assist with the production of monthly management accounts and support month-end processes. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations. Process invoices and ensure the accurate management of the purchase ledger. Maintain and update the fixed asset register. Prepare and post monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments. Manage employee expense claims and oversee the Accounts inbox. Utilise Sage 200 (or other Sage systems) for financial tasks and reporting. Work extensively with Excel, including pivot tables, VLookups, XLookups, and formulas.
