Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced MOT tester to join their team based in Portslade.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards, ensuring all inspections are completed accurately and efficiently
- Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and general repairs across a range of makes and models
- Diagnose faults using appropriate tools and equipment, identifying issues quickly and effectively
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, maintaining safety and compliance at all times
- Communicate clearly with the workshop team and service desk regarding required work and timelines
- Keep accurate records of MOT results, repairs, and parts used
- Carry out pre-MOT inspections and advise on any remedial work needed
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Stay up to date with MOT regulations, technical updates, and industry best practices
This is a permanent role with an immediate start available for the right candidate. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm (with an early finish on Fridays) and there’s no weekend work. Salary range from £34,000 to £37,500 per annum depending on experience. You must have a full UK Driving License and experience within MOT testing but any level of experience will be considered.
