Senior Logistics Coordinator & Team Leader
Our client is a specialist import and export provider based just outside Haywards Heath.
They currently seek a Senior Logistics Coordinator and Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of the logistics department.
Day-to-day responsibilities include
- Lead, motivate and develop a small logistics team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and deadlines are met.
- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring shipments, documentation and customer requirements are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Manage your own portfolio of customer and supplier accounts while supporting colleagues with their own accounts.
- Monitor operational workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and productivity.
- Liaise with internal departments and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of client requirements.
- Allocate responsibilities across the team, providing coaching and support where required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in logistics, operations or international trade, with a strong understanding of sea freight.
You will be commercially minded and possess a good working knowledge of Incoterms and international payment terms.
Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing a team is essential.
Equally important is a positive, can-do attitude, together with excellent communication and organisational skills.
In return a salary of 32k-36k is provided (depending upon experience).
Due to the company's location and limited public transport links, applicants will need access to their own transport.
