Job Description
Commis Chef
We’re looking for a Commis Chef for an award-winning country house hotel in the East Sussex countryside near Crawley. As a Commis Chef, you’ll contribute to the effective running of the kitchen by delivering consistently high standards and service for the Restaurant, Banqueting, Bar, Room Service and Afternoon Tea.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with an experienced Head Chef, and a strong kitchen brigade that have been recognised with numerous awards including a retained Michelin Star and 4 AA Rosettes.
The Person
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef ready for progression, within a quality hotel, restaurant or event caterer is required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential for this role, the rota will entail 48 hours per week over a mixture of shifts.
- Car driver and owner preferred as the site is remote but accommodation can be provided.
A salary of £30,500 (live in) or £32,000 (live-out) is provided along with a comprehensive benefits package. Salaries also increase after probation.
