Our client is a specialist precision engineering business supplying components to the aerospace and marine sectors. Based in Aldershot, they are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.
The role will involve setting and operating CNC turning and milling machinery, producing high-quality components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC turning and milling machines
- Writing, editing and proving CNC programmes
- Programming and operating Fanuc and Siemens controls
- Working from engineering drawings to produce components
- Setting tooling, fixtures, workholding and offsets
- Turning, drilling and milling a range of materials
- Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection
- Working to tolerances typically around ±0.02mm
- Deburring, stamping and finishing completed components
- Moving between machines and supporting inspection activities when required
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally with experience of both turning and milling and a good understanding of Fanuc and Siemens controls.
