We are currently looking for an experienced Storesperson / Labourer to join a busy construction project in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Storesperson / Labourer with a valid Telehandler qualification and CSCS card to join a well-established site team.
The successful Storesperson / Labourer will play an important role in keeping the project running efficiently by managing materials, supporting site operations, and maintaining high health and safety standards.
Objectives
As a Storesperson / Labourer, you will become part of a professional site team working on a busy construction project.
You will be responsible for ensuring materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently while supporting the wider construction team with general labouring duties.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a well-managed site, develop your experience, and potentially secure ongoing work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
As a Storesperson / Labourer, your duties will include
- Receiving, checking and storing deliveries of site materials and equipment.
- Maintaining an organised and tidy stores area.
- Operating a Telehandler safely to transport materials around site.
- Distributing materials to site operatives as required.
- Assisting with stock control and reporting shortages.
- Supporting site management with general stores administration.
- Carrying out general labouring duties when required.
- Keeping work areas clean and safe at all times.
- Following all site health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- To be considered for this Storesperson / Labourer position, you must have:
- Valid Telehandler qualification (CPCS or NPORS)
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Previous experience working as a Storesperson, Labourer, or Storesperson / Labourer on construction sites.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of health and safety.
- A reliable, hardworking, and proactive approach to work.
