We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hoddesdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking for a long-term position with the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.
The Role
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies, working from engineering drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating metal components and assemblies to specification
- Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings
- Operating fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets
Requirements
- Previous fabrication experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competent using fabrication tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
