An opportunity for an experienced, mature and industry seasoned General Operations Manager is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle. We are seeking a strong leader with a proven track record, stable and long-serving employment history, who leads his staff by example. An individual with unparalleled integrity, honesty, and discretion.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Business Operations Management (All business departments, workshops, sites, projects)
- Staff management and delegation
- Mining, Heavy Industry, Engineering, Workshop, Manufacturing sectors exposure
- Technical management skills
- Financial management skills
- Project costing, profit feasibility
- Ability to represent the company at a Senior Level
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualification: NQF 6 or above (preferred)
- Min 10 years’ experience at a General / Operations or Senior Management level (required)
- Strong business acumen (Financial, budgets, forecasting, sales, administration, procurement, workshop etc)
- QA / QC Management (with ISO experience)
- Auditing experience/exposure
- Health & Safety
- Driver’s licence
- Computer literate (Advanced Excel)
- Traceable references (Background screening / Verifications clear)
- Newcastle residency required (Relocation not included)
